The Vancouver Sun informed earlier this morning of some sad news regarding the Vancouver Zoo. Two of it’s beautiful Giraffes past away unexpectedly this week. Amryn, a youngster who you may recognize from a shoot I did for Aritzia back in the early spring, past away last week breaking the hearts of all the Zoo staff, and it’s with even greater shock that his 23 year old mother, Aleah, was found dead early this morning in her den.

A whole lot of my pals, as well as myself, are all part of a photographic exhibition titled “COVET”. The concept of the show is that every artist was to submit 1 muse and 1 location, and each artist was randomly given another artist’s subject matter and another artist’s location.

The show is on November 4th at The Chapel Arts Gallery.

Despite my initial hesitation and lack of motivation it was really great experience. My muse Stephen was wonderful and my location (even though I was concerned about the potential barbwire I might have to crawl over [although thankfully did not]) It was an amazing spot. 

The step ladder even came with the location..
