Once in a blue moon I take a self portrait… usually the background/setting says much more about myself than the actually portrait.

Long time coming… but updated every part of my website… have a look!
Our pup, Lola, is a pretty wonderful girl. We rescued her back in the summer, and finally after months are building trust and assuring her of a forever/loving home, she is really starting to shine. Apart from being an exceptional athlete in the forest, she also likes to show off to us by trying to carry the largest logs she can possible find on the trail. Here are some photos from a beautiful sunny day last week.

She will run full speed with a log 4x her size

Last week I went to Mexico. Last week I also spent the majority of my time on the bathroom floor. Pretty much the worst time ever. Regardless, I managed to get out my last day there and shoot a few photos…
here are a couple behind the scenes from the shoot I did for Poler. More Poler photos to come…

Yesterday I shot a look book for Anita Sikma. If you are not familiar with her work she is quite possible one of the most talented Jewelers I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Here are a few test Polaroids from the shoot:

I recently found out that on Canada Post website you can design your own stamps. So I thought that maybe I’ll just do that, make my own stamps with one of my landscape series photos, the stamps only except rectangular photos, not square…anyways.. bla bla bla one thing lead to another and I ended up with these:

So, I know I’ve said this before, but my best friend Mish is cool as heck! She is a serious street-cred friend. (ok… she is also a great person and is always and forever there for me when I need her too) She plays in a band called White Lung, she is an amazing writer and a few months back Vice decided to give Mish her own weekly column titles Waste Coast. I’ve worked Mish a few times on this column now and the most recent one was a story of 3, 30 year-old virgins. These 3 Abottsford girls were funny, cute and witty not what you would expect. You can read all about them HERE on WASTE COAST.
This weekend I did some press photos of White Lung on top of a roof top in DTES. While we waiting around for 1/2 the band to show up, I took a couple of snaps of Mish and Grady.

TONIGHT IN VANCOUVER! Color Magazine is putting on a great photo show, if you are around you should probably attend this event. It’s going to be great fun. 142 West Hastings in the Dynamo Studios.
(and on a sadder note it breaks my heart that today Kodak filed for bankruptcy, making one of the last giants in the photographer world to collapse at the feet of digital photographer.)
